If there are many vigorous plants in the aquarium, it has strong lighting and if there are few fish living in it, which are fed rather cautiously, it may happen that the macronutrients nitrate, phosphate, magnesium and potassium are not sufficient to ensure healthy plant growth. With the liquid fertiliser Aqua Rebell Macro Basic NPK you can supply yours with the macronutrients essential for healthy plant growth. Your plants can now use a well-stocked nutrient buffet and grow healthy and lush.

The algae feed gaps in the nutrient supply. Thread algae, in particular, celebrate happy primeval times when there is a lack of nitrate. You can prevent algae plague by balanced fertilisation of your aquarium plants.

Basically, you only dose as much Aqua Rebell Makro Basic NPK as your aquarium plants actually consume. Therefore, the dosage recommendation is not set in stone, you can adapt it to the needs of your plants and give a little more or a little less fertiliser as needed.

We generally recommend a water change of 25% to 50% per week in fertilised aquariums. If you already measure high nitrate or phosphate levels in your aquarium water, you shouldn't use this fertiliser - in this case, there are more suitable solutions in the range from Aqua Rebell, for example the Aqua Rebell single component fertilisers.

Please note that you should definitely supplement the Aqua Rebell Makro Basic NPK with a micronutrient fertiliser (full iron fertiliser) such as the Aqua Rebell Mikro Basic Iron, so that your plants get all the micronutrients they need in addition to the macronutrients.
