The beautiful reef ceramics by Arka are carefully handmade in Germany using only the highest quality, 100% natural materials. The toxin-free reef ceramic contains no artificial additives and is completely harmless to the inhabitants of reef aquariums.
The highly porous structure of Arka's reef ceramic items is ideal for colonisation by beneficial bacteria. The bacteria break down nutrients and create a natural and healthy water biotope.
Note: The reef ceramic can be used immediately in your aquarium. A minimal amount of silicate may be released but this can be easily rectified - see section below.
