These foam inserts were specially designed for the FX4, FX5 and FX6 high-performance external filters. The inserts catch large dirt particles and impurities for effective mechanical filtration - the important first phase in the filtering process. The inserts fit exactly into the filter baskets so that a bypass is prevented. The pore size allows for efficient water flow to reduce maintenance.
