The B-Box filter foam works like a pre-filter and keeps out wastewater. Clean the filter sponge once a month with water from the aquarium to ensure the best efficiency. Replace it every 3 to 5 months.
Note:
Rinse the filter sponge under running water before placing it in the aquarium.
