Thanks to its special porous structure, the synthetic medium binds even tiny organic molecules and significantly outperforms conventional activated carbon or standard ion exchangers. The filter medium comes ready to use in a practical filter bag, which should be placed in a high-flow area of your filter system.
Tip:
One of the key advantages of this filter medium is that it can be reused:
- Once the resin is depleted, it can be regenerated in a non-metallic container using a 1:1 mixture of water and unscented household bleach (8.25% hypochlorite) for 24 hours in a well-ventilated area.
- After thorough rinsing, the medium is ready to perform again at full capacity in aquariums of up to 400 litres.
