Pristine™ naturally improves the water quality in your aquarium using the non-chemical method of bio-augmentation. Bacteria are added to the water which break down excess feed, waste and other residues. The biopolymers produced by the bacterial colonies catch suspended particles in the water and thus result in long-lasting water quality improvement. Furthermore, it reduces excess nutrients such as ammonia, nitrites and nitrates.

The bacteria strains in Pristine™ have been specially selected for their high resilience and adaptability. The bacteria can adapt to harsh and oxygen-deficient environments, multiply and thus increase water clarity.

Application recommendation:

Shake well before use and switch off UV/ozone systems.

Use 1 capful (5 ml) per 40 litres of aquarium water. To keep the water in good condition, with new additions or if the biofilter is disrupted by bacteria or medication, you can add 1 capful (5 ml) per 80 litres of aquarium water. Before adding Pristine™, eliminate any antibiotics with fresh charcoal and a water change.

It takes about 2-3 days for the bacteria to get established. Switch on the UV/ozone systems only after this.

Tip: If the nutrient content in your aquarium water is too high on a regular basis, this can be due to overstocking, overfeeding or insufficient filtering.
